Leeds United must make an attempt to sign Celtic winger Scott Sinclair in the summer transfer window after it was reported that the 29-year-old could be on his way out of Parkhead.

Sinclair has been in sensational form since heading to Scotland in 2016, scoring 60 goals and supplying 34 assists in 150 appearances across all competitions, winning seven pieces of silverware in the process.

However the former Manchester City attacker might be leaving the Bhoys in the summer, with the Scottish Sun reporting that the Glasgow giants are yet to trigger an extension clause in his contract.

It is understood that Sinclair’s current £25,000-a-week deal [The Sun] is set to expire at the end of the season, but Celtic have the option to extend it by a further 12 months if they wish.

That means that Leeds could sign Sinclair for nothing in the summer – and that would be a perfect piece of business by the Yorkshire giants.

Sinclair has transformed himself during his spell at Celtic.

Before leaving England, he suffered a failed loan stint at West Brom before being signed by Aston Villa just before they were relegated from the Premier League.

They came after the ex-England Under-21 international endured a tough time at Man City where he made just a handful of first team appearances.

Sinclair needed something to boost his confidence and his time at Celtic has provided that.

Whether Leeds are in the Premier League or the Championship next season, Sinclair would be amazing addition to their attack.

The Hoops star has been lethal in front of goal, won trophies and best of all he could be available for absolutely nothing.

Leeds could play a blinder if they get this deal done in the summer.
