With the transfer window set to open in a few months, Tottenham are starting to accelerate their plans to overhaul a squad that appears to have peaked. The north Londoners are in need of new blood following two consecutive fallow window, and amid the expectation that a handful of first-team stars will quit at the end of the season. The Daily Mail report the headline stars leaving will be Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld. So far, so bad for Lilywhites. But, it’s said the club have assembled a five-man transfer list made up of Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish, Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen, Valencia’s Carlos Soler, Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha and Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. Serbia international Mitrovic has got many Spurs fans talking. Aged 24, the powerhouse forward has scored 10 league goals this season and appears to have smoothed off the rough edges apparent during his Newcastle United spell. He could be a fine back-up to main man Harry Kane, with comments including “imagine”, “perfect” and “next level”.
