Tottenham fans’ worst fears were realised after they were drawn against Man City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Man City were the favourites going into the draw and it will be a blockbuster tie set to be played in April.
Tottenham favourite Graham Roberts delivered his verdict on Twitter straight after the draw was completed.
He said it was a “Tough draw” but wen on to say “But believe we can do this.”

OPINION
It was always likely that two English teams would get drawn against each other and it was Tottenham who landed one of the strongest teams in the competition. It means that the two teams will play each other three times in the space of 10 days and the games will define both teams’ seasons. The first leg is played April 9/10 with the return a week later. They then meet in the Premier League at the Etihad on April 20. It’s brilliant for neutrals but we’d imagine both managers, Pep and Poch, would have preferred an easier draw. Whoever gets through will meet wither Ajax or Juventus in the semi-finals, with Man United, Barcelona and Liverpool waiting on the other side of the draw. It means there could be three English teams in the semi-finals, which would be an incredible achievement.
