To say that Everton winger Theo Walcott has had a shocker of a season would be a very large understatement indeed.

Whatever has caused his rapid decline remains to be seen, but if there is one thing boss Marco Silva has learnt about his woeful form, it is that the Toffees must sign a winger in the summer in order to rectify their growing problem.

A player that they must take a serious look at is Ryan Kent, currently on loan at Rangers from Liverpool for the season.

His spell at Ibrox expires at the end of the campaign, and the Daily Record report that even if the 22-year-old was to return to Anfield, his chances of making it would be very slim.

That is why Everton must make the most of the situation by breaking the hearts of Rangers fans everywhere and snatching him from under their noses.

The Gers no doubt want to extend the young ace’s stay until next season seeing as he has been wowing the crowds – but he would thrive in an environment like Goodison Park.

He has scored five goals and has provided eight assists in all competitions this term, and his ability to produce a crucial pass or beat his man out wide is just what Everton need to increase their goal tally.

Walcott is showing no signs of improving any time soon, and Kent would provide the long-term security they would need in the position.

The potential is certainly there, and many Everton fans will surely drool if the club secured a summer swoop for his services.

The dazzler would surely be tempted with a move to the Premier League if the chance arose in a few months’ time, so Everton must do all they can to lure Kent to Merseyside as soon as the window opens.
