Gary Lineker took to Twitter during Aston Villa’s drubbing of Derby County on Saturday to deliver an impressed one word verdict on Jack Grealish’s stunning strike.
The Villans were out of sight by half time as they stormed to a 4-0 win over Frank Lampard’s side, but it was Grealish’s corking volley just before the interval that really caught the eye.
Match of the Day host Lineker was suitably blown away by the wonder strike, and registered his appreciation on social media.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Lineker simply said: “Wowzer!”.

OPINION
What a difference Jack Grealish makes to this Villa side. Without him they have looked turgid and lifeless for a long time, but with him back in the side for the first time since early December they looked like a different outfit. The goal was just the icing on the cake of what was an imperious Villa display, but the technique it took to excuse was nothing short of spectacular. To watch the flight of the ball as far as he did, and to connect with a strike as sweet as that must have been an incredible feeling for a player who has suffered so terribly with injury. He’s back now though, and for his sake and that of his team, he will be hoping that he can keep fit and firing. There is a strong argument to be made for him being the best player in the Championship, and having an addition like that at such a tricky part of the season could be a massive boost.
