OPINION
Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has looked much improved in recent weeks and that continued with his first half performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday. The Italy international was heavily involved from the word go and was his usual self dictating play from the centre of midfield. When Chelsea aren’t playing well he is the first one to be criticised because of the perception that he’s manager Maurizio Sarri’s golden boy. However, when they are in full flow he’s a joy to watch. It was a bit of a scrappy affair in the opening period at Stamford Bridge, but the former Napoli man was imperious in the middle of the park. The 27-year-old could still have done more offensively, but he was certainly trying. He played a number of terrific chipped balls over the top for his teammates only for them to squander the opportunity to make something happen. All in all, though, it was another step in the right direction for the Italian.
