OPINION
Richard Keogh is not a Derby player that you would expect to shine – he is a defender – but he certainly did that despite the 2-1 loss to Brighton on Saturday. The rest of the team were dire, but Keogh clearly impressed these fans if these tweets are anything to go by. One branded him player of the season, while others said he was “class” and “outstanding”. Another said that this performance was the best that they had seen from him all season, and it is hard not to agree with them. He has shown what a great defender he is, and at times he showed that he is top level. This display has showed that he is capable of playing against top opposition like Brighton, so who knows whether he will ever make it in the Premier League. One thing is for sure though – he was their best player on the pitch by a mile.
