Rangers cruised into the next round of the Scottish Cup and they completely dismantled Kilmarnock, beating them 5-0 on Wednesday night. The Gers pretty much dominated from start to finish and this saw goalkeeper Wes Foderingham with very little to do between the sticks, especially in the second half. The 28-year-old played the whole 90 minutes against Killie and took to his verified Twitter account afterwards to celebrate the win with a brief tweet. In his celebratory post, Foderingham highlighted the fact he got a clean sheet, but given that he had almost nothing to do, many Rangers fans flocked to Twitter to cheekily praise him. One Gers fans claimed that Foderingham must be raging as the game was an opportunity for him to shine with first-choice keeper Allan McGregor still suspended. While the 28-year-old was probably genuinely pleased to have a good day at the office, he probably wished he had been given more of a opportunity to prove his worth to Steven Gerrard. Foderingham did relatively little wrong last season and was unlucky to lose his place to McGregor – perhaps doubly so as the veteran has rolled back the years to make himself undroppable. He’ll be hoping he retains his place for the weekend game but we can’t see that happening – clean sheet or no clean sheet.
