Wolves are reportedly plotting a swoop to sign Huddersfield winger Ramadan Sobhi at the end of the season with the Egypt international currently in top form while on loan at Al Ahly.

The Daily Mail has reported that Wanderers could move to sign Sobhi, 22, early in the summer transfer window to avoid risking seeing his transfer value skyrocketing when he plays for Egypt at the African Cup of Nations.

Although he has been on the fringes at Huddersfield since joining them from Stoke last June for £5.7million, Sobhi has been an inspired loan signing for Al Ahly, impressing in nine appearances across all competitions.

Al Ahly have won all but one of the league games that Sobhi has played in, with the ex-Potters dazzler scoring one goal and supplying one assist in the process.

It is no wonder that Wolves are taking a look at Sobhi as it seems that he could be a blinder of a signing for them in the summer considering how cheap he might be and how well he is playing in Egypt.

The £27,000-a-week (Spotrac) attacker is still young at 22-years-of-age and Nuno Espirito Santo wouldn’t be eyeing him up unless he saw that he can offer something to the Wolves attack.

Sobhi has pace, he can play on either flank and has the ability to cut inside and cause problems for defences.

He has also spent time in his career playing in a central attacking role, which could add further ammo to the Wanderers attack if he is signed.

Huddersfield might be willing to get rid of Sobhi in the summer, especially if they are relegated from the Premier League, so it would be quite the non-brainer for Nuno to go in for the Egypt international.

Like the Daily Mail says, it would be a good idea to do the deal early though due to the African Cup of Nations, which Egypt have a strong chance of winning.

It’s unlikely that Sobhi will be the next Mohamed Salah, but he would still be a terrific addition at Molineux.
