COMMENTARY
Celtic January recruit Jeremy Toljan replaced Mikael Lustig at half-time against St Johnstone and a large number of Hoops fans took to Twitter to share how impress they were. The 24-year-old right-back joined from Borussia Dortmund just before the transfer window slammed shut and it seems like fans are already ready to get shirts printed with his name on, after watching his debut on Saturday. It’s fair to say that it’s understandable why this was the case as just like the tweets below suggest, Toljan looked class in the 45 minutes he got to play. The right-sided flyer just looked calm in possession and didn’t seem fazed when St Johnstone launched attacks. If the defender is able to keep performing to that level, and get better, then the January capture of him will look a superb bit of business by Brendan Rodgers. This is especially the case when you consider how in need of signing a right-back the Celtic boss was ahead of the window shutting. Celtic ended up beating St Johnstone 2-0 so that ended up being a nice three points to go alone with the positive fact that Toljan impressed.

Nice clean tackle there by Toljan, after the lad showed him some clean heels on the touchline. ??#CelticFC?
