You can understand why Leeds United’s reported interest in re-signing Aaron Lennon has caused a split in opinion among many Whites supporters. The Sun has claimed that the Yorkshire club are plotting a swoop to sign the Burnley winger in the summer transfer window, but many are finding it hard to believe, while others would be happy to see the ex-Leeds winger return to Elland Road. Either way, it seems way too soon to start talking about summer transfers. Marcelo Bielsa will still be reeling over the fact Swansea pulled the plug on him signing Daniel James on deadline day, and there’s no way that the Argentine would go from 21-year-old James to 31-year-old Lennon in the space of a few months. Leeds will need to see what league they are in before looking too much into summer signings. Lennon’s unlikely to play again this term due to injury and there are doubts about whether he would be Premier League quality once he does return.
