Many Wolves fans will be dreaming big about the potential incoming transfers they could soon see at their club after Ian Holloway remarked on them.

The former Queens Park Rangers manager was asked for his thoughts on whether a good run in the FA Cup could boost Wolves’ chances of signing the right players in future transfer windows.

“Listen (when asked whether cup run would attract more players) I think the way Wolves are going about it is that their a showcase for brilliant young players and high quality young player, they have an excellent manager, an absolutely outstanding way of playing and they’re improving all the time,” said Holloway on Sky Sports’ The Debate (Friday February 15th 22:09, Sky Sports Premier League).

The experienced boss then paused and add that it wasn’t so much cup runs but the style of play that lured players into joining a club these days.

“It’s more the way you play now as before it was what you won, Mourinho-esque, but Pep is changing all of it, it’s not just the way you play, you’ve got to win well and everybody is trying to catch up to that, don’t kid yourself,” continued Holloway.

Holloway then eventually did add that winning things and qualifying for the more prestigious tournaments did certainly help make players want to join your club.

While the colourful manager didn’t directly say Wolves would attracting bigger players in the summer, he indirectly implies it.

Holloway believes an attractive playing style will make players want to sign for a club and he believes, from an outsider’s perspective, that Wolves play outstanding football.

Therefore it’s easy to summarise that he believes Wolves can be an attractive prospect that sees top-quality talent arrive.

Also with Holloway adding that cup runs and qualifying for prestigious tournaments matters, Wolves still have an outside chance of making next season’s Europa League while also having a chance of lifting the FA Cup this season.

This would mean that Wolves could hypothetically tick all the boxes Holloway believes would see players jump at the opportunity join a club, and this will no doubt have many Wolves fans dreaming big about the potential transfers that could be within their club’s reach.
