OPINION
It is no surprise that these Sheffield Wednesday fans are frustrated with Lucas Joao in this 2-1 loss to Rotherham on Saturday. He did not seem to offer anything and was pretty much non-existent for the majority of the match. One supporter remarked how he is better coming off the bench than he is starting the game, and it they do have a point. Starting this game has obviously not done him any favours in the slightest and fingers crossed boss Steve Bruce recognises this for their next game. He is clearly an impact substitute rather than a regular starter, and the manager should just keep it that way. There is no denying that Joao can be a great player, it just seems that today, he is not on his game. This is a shame, but he can only improve from here on out. A few of the fans labelled him as “frustrating”, and it is easy to see why.
