OPINION
Tottenham secured an incredibly impressive 3-0 win against Dortmund at Wembley tonight, and kept that all-important clean sheet, but fans on Twitter thought it was no thanks to centre-back Davinson Sanchez.
He had a torrid time of things in the first-half, with young Brit Jadon Sancho giving his namesake the spins with the ball.
Dortmund grew in confidence thanks to the skills of Sancho but some fine goal-keeping from Hugo Lloris kept Tottenham in the game.
The second-half was a completely different story.
The threat from Sancho was nullified, with Jan Vertonghen having a fantastic game at left-wing-back, and goals from Son Heung-min, Vertonghen and Fernando Llorente late on, with his first touch of the game, gave Spurs a priceless win.
It’s fair to say that Tottenham did to Dortmund tonight what Juventus had done to them previously and with a 3-0 win they’ve almost dumped the best Bundesliga side out of the competition.
The Tottenham critics went quiet in the second-half, but Sanchez definitely got away with it in the first-half.
Here are the best reactions from Tottenham fans to the centre-back’s display:
I know Foyth has lost the ball a couple of times trying to play out but Sanchez has swung for absolutely everything so far and connected with zilch! All over the place tonight. #COYS

Aurier needs games… touch is awful. Sanchez is all over the place. Foyth needs to calm down a bit. Good news is still (somehow) keeping a clean sheet. Very nervy tonight #COYS

Dortmund and Sancho very impressive. #THFC final pass is off and are missing the intricacy of Alli in games like these. Lamela can often make the difference with his eye for a through ball. Sanchez looks weakest link and Winks has been surprisingly sloppy

Not sure having three at the back is really helping us, especially when one of the three is Sanchez. Would bring Lamela on and give them something more to think about, or even get Rose on for Davidson and move Jan into the middle. Foyth's performance one of the few positives.

I’d pull Sanchez and put Nando on… Lucas and Son off him.. It’s the only way I think.
