Gary Lineker hailed Jan Vertonghen as the Tottenham hero in an incredible 3-0 win against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night.
After going in at half-time 0-0, with Dortmund perhaps shading it across the first 45, Mauricio Pochettino tweaked the full-backs and it worked a treat.
Spurs were unplayable in the second-half and Lineker also hailed the “brilliant tactical changes” from the manager.
Son got the first goal and Vertonghen made the match safe with a brilliant goal.
But Spurs weren’t finished there and Fernando Llorente completed the rout with his first touch of the game after he came on as a late substitute.
Lineker took to his personal Twitter account to deliver his breathless verdict on Spurs, singling out Vertonghen for praise.
This really has been a superb performance from @SpursOfficial with brilliant tactical adjustments from Pochettino at halftime. Wow!
