OPINION
There’s a real mixed reaction from the Celtic supporters to the prolific nature of Rangers’ January transfer business. The Scottish Herald reported on Thursday that four new arrivals were set to hit Ibrox, with Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis signing imminently and Jordan Jones and Glen Kamara closing in on pre contract deals. Those are all encouraging signings from Rangers, and it seems that some Celtic fans, at least, can appreciate that. There are Hoops fans who continue to doubt the impact that someone like Defoe will have in Scotland, but there are others who are clearly concerned by their rival’s business and want their own club to become more active in the transfer window. Celtic certainly haven’t been as busy as Gers to date, and there’s a worry that the business Steven Gerrard is conducting here could prove to be the deciding factor in this season’s title race. Celtic fans will be desperately hoping that that’s not the case.

Right so rangers (plc) have done the thing I’ve been wanting Celtic to do for the past 2 years. That is to sign players that people have heard of (Europe quality or just players with a good name) instead Celtic have chanced low transfer fees on unknowns players. And have failed

The amount of folk worried about Rangers is unreal. If we do this window right we win the league. It’s the 4th of January so I’m not panicking yet

4 days into the window mate and you have Celtic fans moaning because rangers are about to make 4 signings according to reports.
I understand the last 3 windows haven’t been great but because rangers made a few signings, fans think we have to replicate, rather than be patient.

Other teams getting deals done mate. We should have been planning since Sept. Hope deals are very imminent. Sooner they come in the better.

So Brown is past it at 33 but, Davis, Mcaulley, Defoe, mcgregor etc are great experienced players? Seriously boys it’s a re-run of a car crash we’ve all seen. Good luck picking up that wage bill.
