There is no doubting that Leeds United’s hopes of sealing the Championship title this season lie in their own hands but the transfer business conducted in the second tier this month could well determine who ends up with sealing glory at the end of the campaign.

So far there has been just one new arrival at Elland Road – a notable one in the shape of Kiko Casilla – but the Whites’ rivals have also been strengthening, West Brom securing the loan signing of Mason Holgate for example.

One area where Marcelo Bielsa’s men are lacking somewhat is up top, with Kemar Roofe the only man looking in any real form in attack.

Patrick Bamford has been plagued by injuries and behind the English hitman there is a lack of quality, Tyler Roberts not preferred as a centre forward by Bielsa.

Bolstering their options in the striking department would be a massive boost to their hopes of a title win this season and it should come as no surprise to have seen Leeds linked by Sport to have made a loan approach for Italian international Moise Kean back in November, the 18-year-old struggling for game time at Juventus.

With January now open Kean remains in Turin but the Chronicle (22/01, 09:58) claim that the Old Lady are open to loan offers as they green light a temporary exit for the youngster and Leeds must pounce on the opportunity.

Possessing rapid pace and the quality to make something out of nothing, Kean is more than just an out-and-out striker – he is a creative force with no fear or inhibitions and that sort of talent is exactly what Leeds need to see their hopes of a Championship title skyrocket.

Just look at their game against Hull City – a lack of creativity meant there was nothing happening up front and having Kean in their side would change that in an instant.
