Three Rangers senior players are set to leave on loan in January, including 28-year-old keeper Wes Foderingham, according to RockSport Radio’s Bill Young.

He made the claim on his personal Twitter page on Monday morning, where he also said that Glen Kamara’s incoming move might have to wait until the summer.

This comes after it was reported that Rangers had taken New Zealand international keeper Stefan Marinovic on trial.

OPINION

There’s no surprise to see Rossiter and Wallace’s names here. Rossiter’s loan move was approved by Gerrard. If Foderingham does leave this January then it would seem highly likely that New Zealand international Stefan Marinovic is set to get a deal. Foderingham has only made four appearances this season since the arrival of Allan McGregor as the new number one and his displays have made any return to the first-team unlikely. Foderingham was the number one last season, making 33 Premiership appearances and 37 across all competitions, but McGregor has definitely been an upgrade. Getting Foderingham’s wages off the books would be good as Rangers continue their aggressive recruitment policy in January. The 6ft 1in [Source: Transfermarkt) goalkeeper could easily get a move to the English Championship. Rangers are still looking for more players as well, with links to Charlton striker Karlan Ahearne-Grant as well as a new mystery target that Mark Allen and Steven Gerrard are pursuing.
