Spanish sides Valencia and Atletico Madrid are both interested in bringing Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez back to La Liga, according to El Gol Digital.

The Spanish publication claims that the two European giants are eager to rescue the Chile international from his Old Trafford nightmare.

Sanchez has endured a horrible time in Manchester and El Gol report he is “determined” to quit United “immediately”.

The 30-year-old is said to be desperate to leave the Red Devils, with a transfer fee not thought to be problem. However, his wages could present a challenge for both teams.

Good move for United?

Where has it all gone wrong for Sanchez at United? The player we all saw at Arsenal seems to have been left in London because whoever’s been turning out for the Red Devils over the past year has been a shadow of the outstanding star seen for both Barcelona and the Gunners. Perhaps at this point the best thing could be for him to move on. He doesn’t ever look like getting back to the form he was in for Arsenal and he is now the wrong side of thirty, an age where most players start to slow down. A move back to La Liga, where he thrived with Barca, could be just what the doctor ordered for him. It would also allow United to get his hefty salary off their books. Why not, eh?

Likely to happen?

We don’t really know where United stand with this one so it’s hard to say. Sanchez is obviously a talented player and there might be a belief at Old Trafford that he can still return to his former glory, which if that’s the case would indicate that he wouldn’t be allowed to leave. Who knows, really, but both these sides would be good destinations for him if he is truly determined to leave the club.
