Newcastle United must pull off a masterstroke signing by making an audacious January move for Wolves attacker Adama Traore.

The 22-year-old has failed to have the impact he was expected to since making a £20 million move to the Midlands from Middlesbrough over the summer, starting just six Premier League matches so far this season.

He has scored just the one goal for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side having predominantly being deployed as a super sub.

According to the Mirror (13.25), the Spanish speedster could be offloaded to boost their budget and fund a move for Monaco midfielder Pele.

If that is the case, then Newcastle must make sure they move quickly to land the former Barcelona man.

The Magpies have lacked creativity and a cutting edge this season, and their options in wide areas have been largely underwhelming.

Traore would solve both of these issues, and would surely jump at the chance to start regularly.

The winger has spent time in the north east before, and presumably would not be against returning to the region, and would be the ideal addition to fully unlock the aerial capabilities of Salomon Rondon.

There are very few players who possess the same directness and power as Traore, and he would represent a huge asset for any team trying to escape a relegation dog fight.
