OPINION
Steven Gerrard famously dubbed Liverpool ‘rumour city’ in his autobiography. Word tends to spread like wildfire around Merseyside where its biggest club is concerned and that is only multiplied by social media. The big rumour this afternoon (Thursday) is that Andrew Robertson is set to miss the Premier League showdown against Manchester City as his wife has gone into labour. Twitter was on fire with talk that the left-back was not on the team coach making the short journey to the Etihad Stadium.
Rumours that Andy Robertson might miss tonight
Can someone please dismiss this for me

Unsurprisingly, Liverpool fans are in meltdown at the prospect of the left-back not being able to feature in a match widely regarded as their biggest Premier League fixture in four-and-a-half years. Robertson has been outstanding over the last 12 months and has emerged as the finest player in his position in English, if not European football. The Anfield faithful are begging for a reliable source to kill the rumour Robertson is set to miss out tonight.

Any truth in Andy Robertson hasn't travelled with the team for tonight I can't possibly deal with the thought of Moreno up against sterling #LFC
