COMMENTARY
Many Celtic fans would have been fearing the worst when they saw Anthony Ralston named among the starting line up for what was just his fourth appearance of the season against Airdrieonians but it appears as though he has regained some trust back from the Parkhead faithful. It might only have been a League One outfit but his rare start at right back was impressive enough to have the fans drooling over what they saw and even suggest that he might be in with a chance of usurping Mikael Lustig in the starting XI in the near future. That does not seem very likely considering how out of favour he has been under Brendan Rodgers but at just 20-years-old he has plenty of time to transform any negative impressions the manager might have of him. He looks a hard worker who is ready to put his body on the line, not to mention possessing technical skills which make him a threat up the right flank when the Hoops push forward. The fans can expect to see more of Ralston in 2019 and after this outing they should not be too concerned when he does feature.

Completely agree, I know we’re playing airdrie here but he’s not stopped running and getting that ball in, offers much more than lustig.
