OPINION
It is no shock in the slightest that these Celtic fans have laid into Scott Brown in the way that they have after this 1-0 loss. He was at fault for the goal scored by Ryan Jack, as the ball went straight through his legs into the net. Good enough reason for the supporters to be angry, right? The fans know he is much more capable than what he showed against the Gers, and with a player with his level of experience, he should know a lot better in a game of this magnitude. One fan commented how how the veteran midfielder looked lost throughout the game, while one slammed him as being “dreadful.” They are right – as hard as it may be to admit, Brown is just not at the level needed for these types of games anymore. Too much is at stake to be making the sort of errors he has made in this game, and to be honest, Brendan Rodgers should have known better than to start him.

Scott Brown is dreadful, can't read the game and can't complete a simple 5 yard pass.

Scott Brown looks done here. Too slow for the pace of the game
