OPINION
John McGinn is usually very consistent, and that is no different in this 2-2 draw with West Brom. One fan even declared how he is their “best signing” since they got relegated from the Premier League – and it is hard not to agree with them. He has taken the Championship by storm since his arrival from Hibernian in the summer and he will no doubt be hugely pivotal in the club’s quest for promotion this season. That being said, another supporter described him as the “best midfielder in the Championship”, which based on his recent displays, is not too far from being accurate. Even under previous manager Steve Bruce, McGinn was still producing some quality performances, but under Dean Smith, he has propelled himself to another level. He still is only 24-years-old, which means that he is only going to get better and better as the seasons progress – much to the fans’ delight.
