Celtic would be crazy not to have a go at signing Egypt international Trezeguet in the January transfer window after it was reported that the Kasimpasa winger is valued at just £4million.

Belgian news outlet Voetbal Nieuws has reported that the 24-year-old has been in red-hot form since joining the Turkish Super Lig club from Anderlecht in the summer and that there could be a lucrative transfer for him in the future.

In April, the Sun claimed that Premier League sides Everton and Bournemouth were both keeping tabs on the Egypt international, who went on to represent his country at the World Cup in Russia alongside Mohamed Salah.

It seems that the Premier League interest in Trezeguet has died down a bit now, but the left-sided winger has remained in good form for Kasimpasa, scoring five goals and supplying five assists in 14 appearances.

Celtic could really do with some extra strength to the left-hand side of their attack.

Scott Sinclair has been in dire form over the last year or so and Callum McGregor has started to become much more influential in a central role in the midfield.

Brendan Rodgers must surely see that Sinclair is no longer offering anywhere near the level of performance he gave in his debut season at Parkhead, so January would be a good time to sign someone who will offer some serious competition to the English wide-man.

Trezeguet is in really good form in a league that is of similar strength to the Scottish Premiership, if not stronger.

He would surely have a huge impact in Glasgow for the Hoops, and for just £4million, Rodgers can really do no wrong here.
