Rangers travel to Edinburgh to take on Hibernian at Easter Road on Wednesday evening in a crucial Premiership clash, and Steven Gerrard is expected to make two changes to his starting XI.

The Gers are coming into this one on the back of an important three points against Hamilton at Ibrox on Sunday, with an early Daniel Candeias effort securing a narrow 1-0 win.

Hibs on the other hand secured an emphatic 2-0 home win over giants Celtic to get their campaign back on track in a result which opened the door for Rangers to climb back to the summit of the division.

Gerrard is expected to retain the vast majority of that side which beat Hamilton, with two changes expected from the Ibrox manager.

In goal, Allan McGregor is likely to keep his spot.

In defence, Connor Goldson, James Tavernier and Borna Barisic are all expected to retain their places, while Joe Worrall is likely to come in for senior ace Gareth McAuley in the middle, with the veteran likely to struggle with two games in quick succession.

A midfield three of Ryan Jack, Scott Arfield and Ross McCrorie is expected to remain in place, with the youngster having impressed since his return to the fold under Gerrard.

Eros Grezda and goalscorer Candeias are also expected to be retained after promising displays on Sunday against Hamilton.

The second and final change is likely to come up front as star striker Alfredo Morelos returns from suspension to replace Kyle Lafferty in a big boost for the Light Blues.
