Rangers will look to build on their weekend win when they visit Easter Road to take on Hibernian on Wednesday, and Steven Gerrard must make two changes to his starting XI.

The Gers secured a crucial home win over Hamilton Academical on Sunday thanks to a third-minute strike from Daniel Candeias in a narrow and unconvincing 1-0 win.

Opponents Hibs will be coming into this one full of confidence after an impressive 2-0 home win over Celtic which allowed the Light Blues to climb above their rivals to the top of the table.

In goal, Allan McGregor must keep his place as usual.

In front of him must come one change as Nikola Katic replaces Gareth McAuley at centre-back, with the Northern Ireland international likely to struggle playing two games in such quick succession.

Connor Goldson must keep his spot as Gerrard returns to his previously-successful partnership with 6’4″ giant Katic [Transfermarkt], who has been out of the picture recently, while both James Tavernier and Borna Barisic must retain their places as well.

In midfield, Ross McCrorie, Scott Arfield and Ryan Jack must all remain in place, with that trio looking like it could be a promising one for Rangers with some more time playing together.

On the flanks, both Daniel Candeias and Eros Grezda must also keep their places in the side, with the Albania international linking up nicely with Barisic last time out.

The second and final change comes in attack, with goal machine Alfredo Morelos returning from suspension to replace Kyle Lafferty, who has disappointed since his return to the side.

The return of Morelos is a huge boost for the Gers, who should have more than enough to rip Hibs apart and secure another important win in their quest for the title.
