Gary Lineker has been drooling over Marcus Rashford for his display in Manchester United’s 4-1 win against Fulham at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Rashford, 21, scored and supplied an assist for the Red Devils as they earned their first Premier League win since beating Bournemouth on November 3.
Match of the Day host Lineker was extremely pleased with Rashford’s performance and heaped praise on the England international for his creative goal to round off the win this weekend.
“Very imaginative goal from Marcus Rashford after another excellent display,” said Lineker via his personal Twitter account on Saturday afternoon.

Rashford has had his doubters this season. Some Man United fans have at times been on the back of the 21-year-old forward while there have also been doubts about his potential from the neutrals. However Rashford silenced those critics with a man of the match-worthy display against Fulham on Saturday. Yes, the Cottagers are bottom of the Premier League table and look nailed-on for relegation based on their start to the season, but you don’t choose who you play against and Rashford had a stormer. Jose Mourinho needs to really nurture the young England international because he really is a special talent. If United’s results don’t improve and Rashford struggles to get in the starting line-up then he should really start thinking about his long-term future at Old Trafford. Clubs will queue up to sign him, not just in the Premier League. There is no way that he can continue at Man United if he is not appreciated by his manager and is played out of position all the time.
