Rangers fans have flocked to Twitter to rave about winger Daniel Candeias for another solid performance as the Light Blues beat Livingston 3-0 on Saturday. It was the 30-year-old Portuguese who got Steven Gerrard’s men on their way with a headed opener from a corner, with Alfredo Morelos and Scott Arfield rounding off the win in the second half. While it was not the most scintillating display from Rangers, they got the job done against a dogged Livi side who beat them 1-0 in the reverse fixture in September. They also extended their brilliant form at Ibrox with another home win which stands them in good stead ahead of a crucial tie against Villareal in the Europa League on Thursday. Going back to Saturday’s display, Candeias was particularly impressive for the Gers, with the winger putting in a typically hard-working performance on the flank. These comments below illustrate how good his performance was, with one fan relating him to former Ibrox favourite Nacho Novo.
