Celtic have announced that Ryan Christie has signed a new three-year deal at Parkhead, and many fans have taken to Twitter to react.
As reported on the club’s official website, the 23-year-old midfielder has signed a deal to keep him at Paradise until 2021 after a resurgence in form which has seen him become a key player for Brendan Rodgers.
Celtic fans have been reacting to the news on Twitter, with many obviously blown away after seeing the youngster rewarded for his upturn in form.

These Celtic fans are obviously delighted to see Christie rewarded for his hard work over the past few months. The 23-year-old looked like he would never really get his Hoops career off the ground after failing to break into the first-team following his initial move from Inverness, before two loan spells with Aberdeen saw him impress on a regular basis. Even when he returned to the club in the summer it was not clear what his role in the first-team would be, and with his old contract running out in the summer, it was clear that time was fast running out for the youngster. He has however taken everything in his stride and his form this season is a testament to his hard work and determination. He is now a fully established member of the Celtic first-team, and truly deserves this new deal which keeps him at the club until 2021.
