Many Celtic fans on Twitter have been raving about James Forrest’s display in the first-half of their Europa League clash against RB Leipzig on Thursday night.
Despite an early onslaught from the Bundesliga visitors the Hoops took the lead after Forrest embarked on a brilliant run down the right before finding Kieran Tierney to finish low and hard past the goalkeeper, with the half ending 1-0.
Celtic fans have been reacting to their first-half performance on Twitter, with many singling out Forrest for his display on the wing.

These Celtic fans are suitably impressed by Forrest’s first-half performance, with the right-sided flyer putting in a brilliant display to start against a dangerous Leipzig side. His work for the goal was classic Forrest, with the 27-year-old taking on a couple of opponents before looking up and finding the right ball into the box for Tierney to run on to. Aside from that passage of play Forrest was Celtic’s most dangerous attacking outlet all half, with the speed machine causing issues for the Leipzig defence on several occasions. That has been a common theme for much of the season actually, with Forrest having a brilliant campaign so far for the Hoops. If he carries on like this he will be well in the running for player of the year, and that would be the highlight of an already stellar career at Parkhead for the winger. First of all though he needs to keep up his play in the second half against the Bundesliga side.
