Newcastle United won their second successive Premier League match with a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday, and many fans have taken to Twitter to drool over Federico Fernandez for his display.
Salomon Rondon opened the scoring after some good work by Yedlin down the right before the Venezuela international doubled their lead, but Jefferson Lerma hit back just before the break.
Newcastle fans have been reacting to the result on Twitter, with many picking out Yedlin for praise after a solid performance down the right from the USA international.

These Newcastle fans were obviously left impressed by Fernandez’s performance against Bournemouth on Saturday, and you can see exactly why. The Argentina international was a rock at the back for the Magpies all day long, just as he has been all season since his switch from Swansea in the summer. Many thought that the veteran was past it when the Magpies paid £5million for his services, but on the evidence provided in these first 12 games that most certainly is not the case. He has been so consistent alongside Jamaal Lascelles, and now alongside Fabian Schar, that he is surely one of the first names on the team sheet for Rafa Benitez at the moment. The experience he brings is so important for an inexperience defence, and that really showed again on Saturday. This was a huge win for the Magpies in the context of their season so far, and in contrast Bournemouth’s season so far.
