Although Everton have a strong tradition of developing young talents into first team stars, signing promising talents can often be viewed as a risk – and the younger they are, the more fans start to question their club’s move in the first place.

However, that should not be the case for starlet Jack Lahne, who plays for Swedish outfit Brommapojkarna – and what’s more – he is only 17-years-old.

Expressen has reported that Wolves are amongst the many clubs interested in signing the young talent, along with the likes of Middlesbrough.

However, Everton boss Marco Silva must be the one left laughing by hijacking their rivals’ interest in Lahne.

Yes, it can be argued that with a player so young, it is hard to tell whether they are capable of making a success of themselves in the Premier League.

Lahne would no doubt find it difficult to adjust to a different type of league, but he must not fear, as he has all the attributes that will allow him to thrive in such an environment.

The fact that he is starring on a regular basis for his current team suggests that he is a player who has bagfuls of potential, and that is definitely something which the Toffees must capitalise on.

Everton are in search of new attacking talent, and there is no doubt that Lahne can provide the long-term solution that Silva must be after.

He will not make an impact on the first team straight away, but he is certainly a star for the future.

Brommapojkarna will not want to part ways with one of their highly rated prospects, but he is not likely to develop rapidly playing for a team in Sweden compared to one in England.

That is why Silva needs to have the last laugh – and why he needs to secure the capture of this bright spark.
