Phil Foden is on the verge of signing a new six-year deal with Manchester City, according to Daily Mail reporter Jack Gaughan.
The reliable journalist claimed via his personal Twitter account on Wednesday evening that Foden, 18, is due to sign a new long-term contract within the next two weeks.
It is understood that he would earn a big pay-rise once agreeing terms, with his current deal at the Etihad worth £15,000-a-week.
Phil Foden set to sign new six-year contract at City until 2024. Should be signed in the next fortnight. Plenty of bonuses built into the deal and big raise on his current £15k a week.

OPINION
Pep Guardiola has seen what has happened to Jadon Sancho since he quit Man City and joined Borussia Dortmund, and he cannot let that happen again with Foden. The 18-year-old really is a special young talent and to get him tied down to a new deal with the Etihad is a huge boost for the Premier League champions. However Foden really needs to be playing much more football and he may have made it clear in talks that he will only pen a new deal if his game-time increases. So far this season, the England Under-21 international has made just six appearances in the Premier League, and all of them have come as a substitute. A player of his potential needs to be starting games more frequently, so letting him play more in the Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup is a good start. We have seen way too many top young players come to nothing by staying at big clubs like City for too long, but Foden seems like someone who can be trusted to make the correct decisions on his future.
