West Brom moved up to second place in the Championship this evening, albeit probably temporarily, with a win against rock-bottom Ipswich, but fans weren’t happy with forward Hal Robson-Kanu on Twitter.

In fact some Ipswich fans thought he looked rather overweight, with one wondering whether he’d been on the mince pies early.

This was his 15th appearance in the Championship for the Baggies this season and he’s scored three goals but he didn’t really trouble the Ipswich keeper today.

Instead, the two goals came from Jay Rodriguez and Harvey Barnes, but it was a nervy end to the game as Ipswich were gifted a goal late on.

It was a much better second half from the home side, although they couldn’t have been much worse than they were in the first.

If West Brom’s big players had got out of first gear they probably would have won at a canter and instead they could have dropped two points.

Dwight Gayle came on in the 75th minute for Robson-Kanu and most fans would have preferred that switch to have been made before the kick-off.

Here are the best reactions from West Brom fans to Robson-Kanu’s display tonight.
