OPINION
Kieran Gibbs put in a brilliant shift for West Brom tonight and was voted man of the match by many Baggies fans on Twitter.
Jay Rodriguez and Harvey Barnes got the goals in a 2-1 win that sees West Brom go second in the Championship, but it wasn’t as easy as it should have been and Ipswich almost snatched a point at the death when they crashed a free-kick off the post.
West Brom fans had their hearts in their mouths but it would have been an injustice if Ipswich had got anything out of the game.
It was Rodriguez’s 100th career goal tonight but he didn’t have a great game and Barnes was a bit off the pace as well.
No such complaints could be levelled at Gibbs though, who assisted the first goal for Rodriguez and looked every inch the Premier League player he used to be.
He signed from Arsenal in 2017 for £6.75million and there were a few Arsenal fans out on Twitter tonight wondering why they’d sold him so cheap.
Here are the best reactions from West Brom fans to Kieran Gibbs tonight:

Barnes has been Abit off it today. Rodriguez besides goal not really involved. I would be brining Gayle on for him. Best player for me today has been Gibbs #WBA

Gibbs was class today and my man of the match followed by Phillips. Back 4 looked reasonably solid for second game in a row but another lapse in concentration cost them clean sheet #WBA HRK again had a good game and worthy of retaining his place in my opinion
