OPINION
These Aston Villa fans were obviously impressed by McGinn’s display on Saturday against Swansea, and it is easy to see why. Just as he has done all season, the diminutive Scotland international controlled proceedings for Villa in midfield, popping up everywhere for them in the centre of the park. His all-action style has drawn many admirers already, and that group only grows with each passing game as McGinn continues to impress for the Championship club. The way which he manages to break up attacks and spring counters himself is a huge asset for Villa, and he will be key to their hopes for promotion under new boss Dean Smith this season. If he continues this kind of form then he could well go on to be the signing of the season after his £4million move from Hibernian in the summer. He could also be Villa’s own player of the campaign on top of that, with several other high-profile teammates disappointing so far.
