A section of football fans have taken to Twitter to praise Wolves as they near agreement on paying £15million to Sporting Lisbon for goalkeeper Rui Patricio.
Sky Sports claim the Premier League club are set to settle the fee for the Portugal international, who terminated his contract at the Jose Alvalade stadium in the summer, and will pay less than the £50million originally wanted by Sporting.
Many supporters, including Wolves ones, are convinced the club have an absolute bargain on their hands.

COMMENTARY:
What a signing Patricio has been for Wolves. As fans of the club and other clubs pointed out in their droves yesterday and today, the Portugal number one is a bargain even at £15million, which is close to Wolves’ transfer record. The 30-year-old has adapted seamlessly to Premier League life, where the presence of so many of his countrymen and a manager who knows his game so well and speaks the same language has enabled him to showcase his talent from day one. The goalkeeper already looks one of the best around, conceding just six goals from eight league matches and being integral to the team’s hugely impressive start to the campaign, which has taken them to a comfortable and well deserved seventh place. While the £50million valuation of Sporting would have been a bit ridiculous, Wolves have done well to negotiate a fee that is a third of the price. He is one of the signings of 2018.

Could be 30 or 40 mil and it’d still be a bargain

Sporting could have 45M€ for him by court decision but they are now negociating a much smaller price?? Readers: Are you connecting the dots? Jorge Mendes, the coup at Sporting presidency, etc…
