Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama limped off during Kenya’s 3-0 win over Ethiopia on Sunday, and many fans have taken to Twitter to react.
As reported by BBC Sport, the Spurs enforcer was on the scoresheet as the Harambee Stars sealed a convincing win over their northern neighbours in their African Cup of Nations qualifier.
Wanyama was then forced from the pitch holding his leg with what looked to be a hamstring or thigh issue, and many Tottenham fans on Twitter are worried about their midfield star.

Non-friendly friendlies right after a world cup are ridiculous. How can these players be expected to play and stay healthy for all of these important matches almost year round? Big Vic has barely played for Spurs over the past year & now he's injured yet again. #predictable

OPINION
These Tottenham fans seem both angry and worried about this latest injury blow, and who can blame them? The club are enduring a big injury crisis at the moment with several key players on the sidelines, and Wanyama looks to have now added to that. The international break was both a blessing and a curse for Spurs, who have been given time for those players already injured to recover, but also may now have suffered another blow on top of their existing list. It is not clear how serious Wanyama’s injury actually is, but if it is a hamstring issue then he may well end up missing several games. It could turn out however to just be cramp or tightness in his muscle, which should see him recover in time to take on West Ham at the weekend when the Premier League returns. If Wanyama is out for a couple of games, it could open the door to youngster Oliver Skipp to make his full debut for the club.
