Arsenal’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored a goal and registered two assists as Armenia blew away Macedonia 4-0 on Tuesday night, and fans were hugely impressed.
Mkhitaryan has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter for new manager Unai Emery, despite scoring one and making one in the 3-2 defeat to Chelsea.
He’s started four out of Arsenal’s eight league games this season but will be pushing to make the starting XI against Leicester on Monday after tonight’s impressive display.
Here are the best reactions from fans to Mkhitaryan’s display v Macedonia:
Mkhitaryan was on ? tonight in Armenia’s demolition of Macedonia in the UEFA Nations League. That free-kick right at the end was simply brilliant!

Iwobi impressing again for Nigeria, playing a defence-splitting through ball in the build up to their first goal. Great to see him in such fantastic form.
Meanwhile, Mkhitaryan scored one and assisted two in Armenia’s game earlier. The Arsenal boys are full of confidence.

OPINION
Mkhitaryan had to wait until almost the last touch of the game to get his goal but he’d already helped destroy Macedonia tonight with his two assists. Many Arsenal fans thought they’d finally found the real Mkhitaryan in the game against Chelsea – a match that Arsenal were really unlucky to lose. But he seems to have lost his way since then and was dropped for two games, before starting in the 5-1 win against Fulham. If Emery can coax the player out that Man United paid almost £40million two years ago, they’ll be a much better and more threatening side. He showed tonight what he can do and fans were left impressed by the 29-year-old attacker. His record for Armenia now reads 26 goals in 78 games and that’s why one fan said he was Armenia’s greatest ever player.
