A section of Everton fans have annihilated right-back Jonjoe Kenny for his performance in the 2=1 win against Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Kenny received pelters for his role in proceedings when Ricardo Pereira equalised for the home side in the 40th minute.
Some Toffees fans did not hold back from criticising the 21-year-old defender, with one saying that he is nothing more than a “League One player”.

Kenny channelling his inner Martina today. In reality he’s been worse. Absolute joke of a performance so far.

OPINION
Kenny is a young up and coming defender, and ultimately is a back-up option. Calling him a League One player is definitely harsh but the 21-year-old is not Marco Silva’s first choice and there should be more leeway when assessing his performance. Ultimately it is Everton’s poor recruitment that has led to Kenny playing regularly in the first team. Seamus Coleman is injury prone – everyone knows that – but no back-up player was signed up in the summer as the Toffees remain a side that looks bloated in the midfield and short of options at the back. Kenny is just doing what he can. He is not an amazing player and will probably struggle to make it as a number one choice right-back at Goodison Park. Some of the Everton fans reacting here were furious with his performance, and you can understand why, but some of it needs to be toned back a bit.
