Tottenham must make Fulham an offer they can’t refuse for the Sessegnon twins.

Spurs have been strongly linked with left-sided flyer Ryan Sessegnon and the Evening Standard claim their pursuit has been rejected by the west Londoners in each of the last two summers.

It is said that Tottenham have looked to include Ryan’s twin, Steven, in the deal as part of a double raid.

With Fulham planning new contract talks with first-team sensation Ryan, now is the perfect time for Spurs to act with less than two years left on his current deal.

The north Londoners have money to spend after not buying a single player in the summer and will also soon bank a minimum £50million from their participation in this season’s Champions League.

They have the means to blow Fulham away, as well as any Premier League rivals, even Manchester United, in the race for Sessegnon’s signature.

The 18-year-old is an outstanding young player who came close to World Cup selection after his brilliant 2017-18 season ended with him being named the Championship player of the year.

The teenager operated principally in an advanced left-sided role and scored 16 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions.

With Spurs looking for a long-term replacement for Danny Rose as well an English dazzler with the potential to be a world-beater, a concerted fresh pursuit of Sessegnon makes sense.

He certainly won’t come cheap – there has been talk of a £50million asking price – but it could prove a shrewd investment.

Twin Steven is also a rising star and has already made three senior Fulham appearances of his own, including one this season, at right-back.

Capped by England at Under-18s level, the less experienced of the two might help Ryan settle were he to make a marquee move at such an embryonic stage of his career.
