18-year-old Man City midfielder Phil Foden was given a rare start in the league cup against Oxford United on Tuesday night, which City won 3-0, and fans absolutely loved what they saw.
He played one stunning pass in particular that travelled about 50 yards and put Brahim Diaz in on goal. He missed but Jesus headed into an empty net from the rebound for City’s first goal.
Man City fans went into meltdown after the pass but Foden was brilliant throughout tonight and it’s scary to think he’s only 18 years of age.
And he was rewarded with his first senior goal deep in injury time to cap a perfect night for the youngster.
Here are the best reactions from City fans to Foden’s display tonight:

OPINION
Foden has made 13 appearances for Man City and Pep has given him two starts in the Champions League. He’s yet to start a Premier League game but that can’t be far away. At just 18 years of age he’s seemingly got it all in his locker and scarily he’s only going to get better with age. After tonight’s display you can see why Pep didn’t send him out on loan in the summer – although plenty of clubs would have snapped him up. Pep obviously feels that the youngster will best develop under himself and he should get plenty of outings in cup games this season. By next season we think he could be pushing for a spot in the Man City first-team as a regular. If he can get anywhere near the levels he’s been producing at for the Man City youth teams (six in nine for the Under 23s and 14 in 29 for the Under 18s) he’s going to be a beast. What a player.
