A number of West Brom fans have turned to social media to slaughter the performance of striker Hal Robson-Kanu after his performance against Crystal Palace on Tuesday night.
The Baggies were pegged back early on from a stunning strike by Andros Townsend, as Darren Moore’s much changed side, with 10 switched out from the Championship win over Millwall, played host to the Premier League side.
One of those changes was Robson-Kanu, making just his third start of the season, and fans were not best pleased on Twitter with what they saw from the six-foot tall (source: Transfermarkt) hitman.
This is Futbol has gathered a selection of the supporters’ tweets:
Shock! May as well play Burke, HRK offers nothing #WBA https://t.co/ldPMc80zOA

8 minutes in and Robson-Kanu is quickly confirming that he is the worst player I’ve seen in an Albion shirt!

Opinion
The Baggies faithful might not have seen too much of Robson-Kanu this season, with just a handful of substitute appearances, but it sounds as if they will not want to see much more of him after this display. Admittedly, it was a side full of changes and as such there was a distinct lack of cohesion, but the Hawthorns crowd could have expected to see much more from the man entrusted to lead the line. His movement was pretty poor and offered very little to those playing behind him to either use him as a target man to hold the ball up or to feed passes behind the Crystal Palace back line for him to latch onto. He might be a hard worker, with plenty of pressing up top, but that energy and determination evidently cannot make up for a lack in quality, and the West Brom supporters will be glad they have Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez to spearhead their attacks in the Championship.
