Wolves crashed out to Leicester on penalties in the league cup on Tuesday night and the home fans were left in two minds about £18million summer signing Adama Traore.
He’s only been started in the league cup so far since his August move, with five substitute appearances in the Premier League, and on tonight’s display fans can see why.
Nuno made nine changes to the team that drew with Man United on Saturday, with Lohner Bonatini leading the line and Traore out on the right wing.
The former Middlesbrough man tried to make things happen but he couldn’t quite get things together in a fairly tight game – and some fans said it’s why he shouldn’t start in the league.
However, others were more positive, with one labelling him “insane” after watching one particularly powerful run from the 22-year-old winger.
Neither team could score in regulation time and the game went to penalties for the first time at Molineux since January 2015.
Here are the best reactions to Traore’s display in gold tonight:

Traore still showing why he’s an impact sub and not a starter yet.
We miss the tenacity of Jota and creativity of Costa.Still, for a “second team” we’re doing ok, and the game is for the taking…#WWFC

Traore isn't just a fast runner that's been told to play football, he's impressed me, every single one of his crosses has been accurate. nice

I already love Traore to bits… But I do wish he’d pick a pass from time to time…

OPINION
Wolves paid a lot of money for Middlesbrough attacker Adama Traore but so far he hasn’t been given a start in the Premier League and that’s as much a testament to how the Wolves XI have been playing as it is to Traore’s talent. On tonight’s performance he proved he’s got the speed and the strength, as well as the desire, but he hasn’t quite got the wherewithal yet. A goal tonight would have been a real boost for him but as it stands he’s still only got the one in the Premier League, which was the late winner against West Ham. We’re sure his time will come in a Wolves shirt but he’s not going to force his way into Nuno’s reckoning on tonight’s display. Having someone like him on the bench though shows that Wolves’ formin the Premier League so far is no fluke. They’re the real deal, were unlucky to only draw with Man United last weekend, and should be challenging at the right end of the table come the end of the season.
