A section of Nottingham Forest fans were left drooling over the performance of Jack Colback as he helped his side win 2-1 against Sheffield Wednesday at the City Ground on Wednesday night.
Colback, 28, re-signed for the Reds on loan from Newcastle United in the summer, and has divided opinion among most of the club’s support up until now.
Some Forest supporters were absolutely loving the midfielder’s performance against the Owls, with one saying that he put in a “masterclass” of a display.

OPINION
Colback impressed on loan with Nottingham Forest last season but is yet to reach those heights this term. However his performance against Sheffield Wednesday was a massive improvement and these fans are right to be excited by him if he keeps this up over the rest of the campaign. While Colback was quality off the ball, his passing could improve. The Newcastle loanee will run through walls for his team and is a massive credit to the club, but he must improve his distribution. Forest have the option to sign Colback on a permanent basis from the Magpies next summer and based off performances like this, they would be crazy not to trigger that clause in his loan deal. Fans will want it, Aitor Karanka will surely want it and Colback himself will definitely want to stay at the City Ground. Forest do have a lot of central midfielders though, but the former Sunderland man is likely to be head and shoulders above them come the end of the season.
