Aston Villa drew 1-1 with Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Friday night but Villa fans were fuming at goalkeeper Örjan Nyland.
He signed in the summer for £2.7million but some fans think it was manager Steve Bruce’s revenge on a club that could be considering getting rid of him.
The 28-year-old has played the full 90 minutes in all Villa’s league games this season but fans aren’t happy and doubled down after watching him play tonight.
Here are the best reactions from Villa fans:
That was atrocious by Nyland there

Is oyvin nyland the reason Ian atkins was sacked? Worst goalie I've ever seen in an #avfc shirt.

Jeez Nyland can’t be starting anymore games for us! So lucky that wasn’t a goal! He’s so shakey #avfc #Nyland

When Bruce gets sacked, can we sack Nyland at the same time. Rapidly becoming the worst keeper I've seen play in over 30 years.

Nyland in goal has terrified me every single game he’s played. Woeful signing #AVFC #BruceOut

OPINION
Villa fans are not happy with Bruce at the moment and that extends to some of the players that he’s brought in too. Nyland looked really shaky today, looked at fault for the Bristol City goal and almost gifted the hosts another one too. Villa fans probably won’t be happy with a point tonight either, but it’s actually a decent result against a good Bristol City side. There are problems though and the dispute between manager and fans has been brewing for a while now. There’s no doubting that Bruce is a good manager in the Championship – he’s proved himself at this level. But that doesn’t mean that he’s the right man at this time for Villa. We heard rumblings that Villa were looking at alternatives and unless Bruce can haul them up into the play-off spots soon, he might not last the season. For Villa fans though it could surely be so much worse. At the start of the summer it looked like they were going bust and would have to sell all of their players. Instead, they’ve kept hold of them and they’re not far off the pace being set at the top of a competitive Championship. It’s tough to please football fans though.
