Danny Rose will reject offers to join French big guns Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille after winning Mauricio Pochettino over with his performances in training, according to the Telegraph.

The England international earned a recall to the Spurs team in their 3-0 win over Manchester United on Monday night when he was given the nod ahead of Ben Davies to make his first start of the season.

The Telegraph report that Rose is now set to fight for his future at Tottenham and stay until at least January after getting back in Pochettino’s good books with his training efforts in recent days.

OPINION

Keeping hold of Rose is great news for Tottenham. It always appeared counter-productive to loan out a proven Premier League player who turned 28 last month and should be at the peak of his powers. In truth, Rose’s form and fitness has been fitful since he suffered a knee injury in January of last year that sidelined him for nine months, but he is an A-list performer when at the top of his game. He did not hit that level against United on Monday as he displayed clear signs of rustiness. One horrendous backpass should have resulted in Romelu Lukaku breaking the deadlock in the first half to put United ahead. Spurs did not sign any players this summer, but it appears they have kept all their big hitters, notably exit-linked trio Toby Alderweireld, Mousa Dembele and Rose. It is no coincidence they all started at Old Trafford after winning Pochettino’s favour following spells out in the cold.
