Some Wolves fans have reacted with shock after the club’s owner Jeff Shi admitted that they could leave Molineux.
The Molineux stadium has been the home of Wolves for 129 years, with their first league game taking place in 1889.
The club’s new owners have attracted attention this summer with a number of ambitious signings, such as Portugal Euro 2016 winning duo Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho.
As reported by Express & Star journalist Tim Spiers on his official Twitter account, the club’s owner Jeff Shi has admitted they could leave Molineux.

Molineux is perfectly placed near the town centre . Train station close by , the shops and pubs all within walking distance . Move to the outskirts you lose everything

Would be a real shame to leave Molineux and the city centre – don't like the soulless out-of-town retail park things…

OPINION
This section of Wolves fans obviously feel a great connection with their club’s stadium and are desperate not to move anytime soon, there are a lot of tweets begging the owner not to move the club to a different stadium, as they like where the Molineux is located. However, these fans need to move with the times, it seems like they’re just happy for the club to continue as it is and not get any bigger. If Wolves are to become a big club then there have to be major changes, change is good and the fact that they might have to move stadium is a positive thing as it will allow more fans to watch their local team. Plus, it brings in more money to make their squad better.
