Tottenham have been linked with a £30million bid for Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook by the Daily Star, but fans are in two minds about the news.
Tottenham are the only big club in the Premier League who haven’t signed anyone in the summer window yet.
They’ve been linked heavily with a move for Jack Grealish from Aston Villa, but nothing concrete has materialised on that yet.
The latest midfielder to be linked with Mauricio Pochettino is 21-year-old Lewis Cook, but some Spurs fans are completely unenthused about the prospect of signing him.
However, just as many think he is a great prospect who would make a perfect Tottenham player.

Know he’s very highly rated by everyone down at Bournemouth and they certainly wouldn’t want to lose him.
Not sure however again if he’s the kind of player which is really going to push this Spurs squad on, we really should be targeting proven winners who have won trophies ….

Don’t mind giving him a chance at all if we do plan to get him, but at the end of the day this seems like a panic but type deal and like you said not sure if he can propel us to silverware. Need guys that are winners that have won silverware and to bring that mentality too.

OPINION
Lewis Cook is a player who has impressed wherever he’s been – Leeds fans are still going on about him two years after he left Elland Road. If he was one of a number of Tottenham signing this summer we imagine the reactions from fans would be different. However, Tottenham have signed no one and that’s why a certain section of the support is viewing this negatively. A summer where Tottenham just sign Cook wouldn’t ben seen as a success, no-matter how talented the 21-year-old is.
